Garages can be a problem. Frequently used for everything except the car, we wonder why is it we never can, get it to fit in there. Any type of shelving for home use is fine, although heavier garage storage racks are recommended for the hefty items. If you have a yard, then you will probably want a garden tool organizer also. Here is a tip for you, though a bit off the subject, you might consider. Hang a tennis ball from the ceiling in your garage. When your car is all the way in, the windshield will hit the ball so you know you are clear in back to shut the door. This is great when you want to get that door shut immediately when weather conditions are not good.
One of the most popular options is under bed storage. From plastic tubs, to neat wooden boxes which slide nicely under a bed frame, there are many different types within this category. These clever storage ideas slide under their bed frames to provide you with that much extra needed space. These are a great solution for those with limited space (or ceiling height) as they don’t require the extra footprint needed by other forms of storage such as wardrobes. Not only are they stunning.
Organizing and space-saving is important in every home and living area. A shoe storage bench for the entryway is perfect for this. If there is room in the front hallway, a convenient place to store shoes is right there as close to the front door since shoes are usually the last thing to be put on before leaving the house. With a bench that also stores shoes, this is two pieces of furniture that has been combined into one thus saving crucial space.
Plastic containers offer a smart storage for glue sticks, crayons, scissors, and the like. Children will easily see what every container holds. Also, they can locate the right shade of green at a glance and put it back easily on where they have taken it out. It would be a smart idea for you to assign a colored basket or bin to every family member to hold the items they need to grab each time they leave the house. These include umbrellas, keys, mail, permission slips, and more.
Of course, another huge option is a wardrobe. They provide plenty of space for all your storage needs. Although, it is worth considering the footprint they’re going to take up. Of course, for big rooms, this isn’t a problem. But if you’re looking for storage ideas for a small guest or loft bedroom, then these probably aren’t the ideal option and something like under bed storage might be a more viable choice.
